Additionally, franchise operators are able to spend less time shopping for food, products and equipment.

 

Equipment

As for equipment purchasing, our depth of expertise and list of approved vendors ensure low prices. During construction of each new Casa Olé restaurant our franchise team delivers the necessary components and instructions at much lower costs to the franchisee.

 

Franchise and Development Department

The Franchise and Development department is your initial resource when considering the purchase of your own Casa Olé restaurant. Franchise and development representatives will answer all of your questions from site selection to building construction. Our franchise experience gives you access to market analysis, site evaluation, construction and engineering services.

 

Construction Department

Our Construction / Engineering department assists you, your engineer and approved general contractor. From groundbreaking to final inspection, franchisees are granted the freedom to choose independent contractors and/or sign manufacturers, provided they meet Casa Olé’s standards and requirements. As an added benefit, our construction department can help you compare general contractor bids objectively and assure the standards and specifications of the Casa Olé system are met throughout the construction of your building.

Training

Full service restaurant experience is required of any prospective franchisee and the new franchisee must commit to 1 year hands on operation of the restaurant. There may be exceptions to this requirement. In addition, prior to the opening of the unit, you will be required to attend Casa Olé’s intensive 8 week Training Program. New Casa Olé franchisees benefit greatly from the program's innovative combination of education in the classroom, as well as practical work in a training store, all of which is directed by the Casa Olé Franchise Department.

 

Some of the topics covered will include: • Hospitality • Customer Service • Food Preparation and Safety • Quality Assurance • Cost Control • Employee Scheduling • Budgeting • Store Security

 

Other subjects of interest will include extensive discussions of: • Interviewing, Hiring and Training Objectives • Sanitation Principles • Maintenance and Repair • Legal Issues • Marketing and Advertising • Crisis Management

 

The main objective of Casa Olé Training is to provide franchisees in training with operational knowledge and skills, as well as to motivate them to achieve the Casa Olé standard of excellence. Franchisees are taught to be effective in both the back and front of the house and will be trained and certified in both of these areas. Franchisees will then spend at least one week attending and assisting a Casa Olé store to integrate themselves into manager duties and responsibilities for their store opening.

 

Continued Operations Support

On-going guidance and support of your operation is provided by our Franchise Department. These veteran operations professionals provide advice and counsel in all aspects of your Casa Olé restaurant. Our representatives host annual operations and marketing workshops to assist managers, operators and franchisees with new products and procedures.

 

Marketing and Advertising

Casa Olé provides a constant flow of new and innovative ideas and marketing materials to assist the Casa Olé system with sales, promotions, public relations and the branding of our image and products. At Casa Olé, a creative team can help franchise business partners to successfully market their Casa Olé restaurant from the inside out, including plate presentation, hospitality, suggestive selling and point-of-sale merchandising. Casa Olé also operates a system-wide advertising co-op that helps to brand, educate and differentiate Casa Olé from competitors. Casa Olé Marketing will provide you with a variety of strategies and tactics, i.e. table tents, menus, manuals on local marketing, etc. 

 

Range of Costs

In order to put together a new Casa Olé Franchise you will need to review and understand the business elements necessary for the licensing, stocking and continuing operation of the franchised business as well as the development elements needed to arrange for the physical plant. The business investments will vary depending on each location's cost elements and site requirements.

 

These same business elements will be required for your franchise no matter how the development elements are arranged. The funds required for these business elements will need to be readily available to the franchisee at closing and prior to the opening of the restaurant. Initial investment if you lease real estate should be approximately $814,000-$1,630,000. Liquid assets must be 30% of initial investment. Thorough evaluation of each location's business elements are recommended to determine accurate cost estimates.
